Lake is loaded with fish!!! one of the best lakes in the area! spinnerbaits worked too. all of these also caught pike as well!

The weeds have really overgrown the typical areas where you would fish the rock flats or any humps so fishing deeper, working the outside edge of the weed line like you would for largemouth with the drop shot will still produce a smallie bite. Looking forward to the weeds dying off in the fall and getting back on those rocks.

We mostly threw spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and Texas rigs next to the reeds and in deeper water at the edge of submerged grass. The bite was pretty slow but the quality was great. Everything we caught was over 2.5lbs with a few around 4lbs.
