First time out here. Generally good conditions for the day, overcast with a light breeze. The bridges connecting the lakes are low where if you have rods greater than 6.5’ sticking upright; it’ll grind against the wood…ask me how I know 😂 Other than that, not many bites today; but when I did, it was big! Caught a big Smallmouth with a DT10 along the river current towards the bridge, but it got loose as I grabbed the net. Very nice bronzeback! Otherwise, most of the day was spent along the drop off line (which also generally followed along the matted vegetation) that resulted in several well-fed northerns coming off the jackhammers! Water clarity was low and had a ton of floating debris, so white and chartreuse worked well for us today.
