Smallmouth BassTechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureBouldersNed rigs were most successful around rocky points, islands and rock spines. I used a 1/10 oz Z-Man ned lockz hook with a black/blue flake finesse TRD. I throw my ned rigs on a Dobyns Xtasy 723c with a Tatula SV 70 reel spooled with 15 pound Seaguar red label. I threw a Reaction Innovations smallie beaver around undercut brush islands. I rig them on a 2/0 Gamakatsu EWG superline hook and 1/4 oz tungsten. I thrown them with a Dobyns Champion Extreme 704c casting rod, Tatula SV103 casting reel and 20 pound Seaguar red label flourocarbon. Last I found a frog bite in shallow grass and reed lines fishing a Spro Bronzeye frog on 70 pound test Daiwa Samurai Braid. Rod is a Dobyns Champion Extreme 746c paired with a Tatula 150.
