Saturday May 28th, partly cloudy conditions. Temps in the mid 70s water temp 71. I followed creek beds cutting through shallow flats on the northern Emory river portion of watts bar to grab some fish. With the busy holiday weekend I had to go outside the box and stuck to skinny water. Fish were caught in 2-5 feet of water in bends of the creek beds where bass had stacked to ambush prey. Retrieve and weight had to vary to entice solid strikes. Started with 3/8th weight and moved up to 1/2 so I could burn a bit faster and keep it mid column.

5ft-8ft of water look around docks for under water grass. water temps are high 70s to low 80s. Using a lipless crank bait or Texas rig/ Tokyo rig 1/2 oz in weight. VCM 4/0 or 3/0 EWG Tokyo rig work very well paired with a Berkley pit boss or creature hawg Green pumpkin/ Black and blue for dirty water.

Water temp is high 70's too low 80's. Sitting on secondary creek channels to main lake channels points throw a deep driving crank bait or 3/4oz Strike King football jig natural shad or bluegill pattern. Water depth from 10ft to 24ft. water clarity is about 8ft in most parts of the lake.

Bass were relating to areas where the channel swung close to the bank creating small ledges. Before sunrise I caught fish on topwater then got on a crankbait bite and caught fish all day!
