I had a bunch of success up shallow and over brush piles with a smeltinator jig head paired with the royal bluegill spark shad from megabass. Cast up along structure or the brushline and slow roll that little swimbait and you will be hooking into some fiesty largies and spots!

LMB and Spotted bass can be found in creek channels on wood, and docks. Moving baits such as spinner baits chatter baits and swimbaits work well for aggressive fish, flipping when the bite gets tough.

Fishing was slow, one small tournament weigh in with 10 boats only two boats had fish. Most caught on edge of river channel with logs and stumps

But there’s still fish to be caught out deep. But catching a better quality fish in the grass on a white swim jig and a pad crasher frog.. also catching a few nice fish flipping shallow lay down
