Largemouth BassTechniqueUmbrella RigsSeasonFallStructureDamMid November, water temps were in low to mid 60s. Tail race bite was just starting to pick up. Lots of white bass, with a few a largemouth & smallmouth mixed in. A-rigs with light heads and 3.8 Keitechs caught tons of fish and the action was steady. Looks for current seams. A-rigs with extra blades seemed to be best. Keitechs on single jig heads produced a few fish as well.

I was out with the family just fun fishing and I scoped a catfish (unintentionally). We caught a few but they are definitely very keyed on the baitfish. It can be a touch difficult to get them to bite but be patient.

Bass are in full fall pattern right now chasing bait but I was able to get some key bites skipping docks with a jig.

Typical Alabama weather in the winter! We had a warming trend that kept temperatures in the low 60’s and high 50’s at night and 67-70 degree days. The largemouth were pushed up on points and rocky structure chasing shad. I caught most of my fish on the Rapala Shadow Rap Deep jerkbait.
