Largemouth Bass
TechniqueGrass JigsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructurePointsBass are in their post spawn funk and tougher to catch but can be found. Grass in Lake Zumbro is always a high percentage spot for largemouth. Caught most on deeper weed lines along points and after catching one could usually throw the dropshot back in and pick off a couple more

Smallmouth Bass
TechniqueNed RigsSeasonSummerStructureRock PileCooler temps and overcast this weekend due to the much needed rain. Water was still low but fish were still active despite the cooler waters. Small mouths were active around the bends and along the rock wall formations. Pitching into and under the ledges with OG mushroom jigheads with tubes and half cut ZinkerZ/senkos proved to be very fruitful throughout the day. I tried dropshotting and craw rigs with minimal to no success. It was a Ned or nothing day for us this outing! Aside from ton of smallie action, the white bass and freshwater drum/sheepshead also jumped in for a bit of the action as well!

TechniqueIce Fishing JigsSeasonWinterStructureOpen Water/BasinKeep it natural. Gills roaming basins in 15-20 feet. Small presentations like a 4mm Tungsten and tiny plastic or waxworm are key. Fish are roaming so find a spot and sit and wait they will eventually move to you. Can’t really chase em down.
