Paul "Buddy" Banks invented the Silver Buddy Lure in 1983 and holds the registered trademark name of Silver Buddy. The late Billy Westmoreland was known as "The World's Greatest Smallmouth Fisherman", and his name is synonymous with the Original Silver Buddy lure. Many have copied, imitated, and used our trademark name, but they have not come up with the vibration and action the Silver Buddy provides due to its weight distribution. Decades later we are still around, thanks to all of you that carry a "Buddy" in your tackle box and to all of you who are about to experience its bass-catching action.
