Fish are beginning to group up well on the deeper brush piles in White Oak Lake. While this lake does receive a lot of pressure with guys literally chasing fish down with Live Scope, there are giants in this small lake. I found a few on my Lowrance side scan and decided to immediately start off with a bigger swimbait. After having 3 separate 7+lbers follow a Megabass 9in Magslowl to the boat, one decided to suck the whole thing in at the boat and I broke off on the hookset. After throwing an Megabass 8in Magdraft in the pile a few times, I switched to a Storm Arashi Glide and in 3 casts had one eat it while the bait was suspended over the brushpile. The fish weighed 7.84 and I have a recent Instagram post with some pictures (chris_gaudin19). After that a boat that just put in the launch behind me decided to get on pad directly in front of me and on top of the brush pile. Having caught a big fish already I decided to not hammer on more (upcoming night tournament) and went home.
