I finished up the BASS Open with another top 10 on my favorite tournament lake! The keys this week were using my Lowrance Active Target to find fish relating to scattered submerged vegetation in 10-14' and pitching a Z-Man Trick Shotz in Goby Bryant to them on a 1/4oz Angler Tungsten weight. I then would take a Bill Lewis MR12 and reel that as fast as I could to generate reaction strikes from the same fish when they turned to a negative mood in the afternoons. The fish were heavily keying in on perch fry during this time of year. I was only getting 7-10 bites a day but averaged about 17.25lbs each day.
