Overview
The final stop of our trail series takes us to the world-famous walleye and musky factory, Leech Lake in North Central Minnesota near the town of Walker, MN. Although this lake is known for its walleye and musky fishing, there is also a quality bass fishery present with both largemouth and smallmouth. There has been recent buzz around the lake's smallmouth fishery, and we have heard that this is projected to become the new Mille Lacs of mega-smallmouth. Past experience has also shown that this lake has some BIG largemouth and we are excited to see what this event produces. This will be the last event for anglers to be eligible to accumulate regular-season AOY points. AOY points will be finalized after this event and the top 25 in AOY will be invited to the first ever AOY shootout in which they will be fighting to be crowned the first MinnYak AOY and for spots on the inaugural MinnYak Kayak Bass Fishing Team which will represent the group in the All-American Kayak Classic. We are also planning to hold a family get together/fun fishing day on Sunday following the event. Invite the family up and have some fun with the group as we celebrate the inaugural season of MinnYak and have fun fishing on this beautiful fishery.
