Caught 20 or so Delta rats today along rip rap walls and tullies. Got to test out the new Alpha weedless hook and was impressed, got all 5 in the boat I hooked. Ended the day with a hook past the barb in the gut, line trick worked like a charm.

I was looking for long section of intermittent reeds along the shore line and would cast back to the very edge and let the bait drop. If it got to the bottom, I would twitch it for a little bit. If nothing happened, I would cast to the next spot. There's something about these Ocho stick baits that is so deadly. I always have 3 or 4 colors in my boat. The Big Tex is a popular one with the bass family....
