Tough morning after 4 warm days a cold front came through which brought rain and high winds. Large mouth were cruising up shallow in 2-5 ft of water. Weren’t interested in much. Got the Lm pictured on a tube next to a dock, in clearing in the submerged veg. Also got a decent pickerel on a jig.

Post-spawn moving into the heat of summer can lead to some tough days on the water. When I need to slow things down a bit, one of my Go-To baits is a Xzone Fat Finesse worm or the Deception worm paired with a shakey head jig. I like to start off my morning pitching this combo around docks then move off-shore to the deeper ledges as things warm up. Watch out for the pleasure boaters though, this lake gets busy!
