I started out the morning looking for a shad spawn. I never found many shad spawning but I ended up catching a few on the spinnerbait. I was looking for main lake banks with rock and red clay. I then moved offshore and started targeting humps with a crankbait. I was fishing in the 10ft range so the DT 10 was the perfect bait. I caught a few by slowly bouncing the crankbait along the bottom.

We were fishing the CCKF tournament there on 5/8. My son caught several on a Booyah Prank popper and wacky rig (Bizz Baits Sassy Stick 4" Junebug). I caught my entire limit near ledges and hard bottom using a ned rig (Bizz Baits Ned Dizzy Junebug). We fished the New Light Creek area.
