High water from recent rains found fish tucked in the cuts to backwater areas. Also found walleye in areas ahead of current breaks that afforded some calmer water ahead of the breaks.

Letting the fluke drift in the current with occasional twitches was the deal for this channel catfish, and a handful of dink smallmouth on this outing. Fish are positioned near deep sections in the river, and behind rocks. Fluke was rigged on a 5/0 Superlined Gamakatsu EWG.
