White BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureHumpsshad spawn was in full swing and thanks to recent storms raising water levels just enough to provide the hybrids more preferable ambush locations at significant depth transition points in the creek mouths and further up the channelsto ambush spawning shad. Wind direction also aided in forcing shad to form larger schools instead of the typical 10-20 fish schools common for this time of year

Largemouth BassTechniqueNeko RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksFish were in pre-spawn and spawn stages. Saw some fish on the beds but were not locked in yet. Some fish were on the front side of creeks and points staging to go back and spawn. No topwater action but mainly Necko rigs and wacky rig Senkos.

CrappieTechniqueVertical Jigging Shallow (0-9')SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureRip RapMales are on the bank, females coming to bank late evening. North lake finally clearing up enough to catch fish. South lake really hot, water clear down around Goat Island. Purple/Black and Cajun Cricket colors working well. Some bobber fishermen doing well 1’ foot deep but I have been tight lining. Hit the back end of the coves.

Cold morning (35*), launched at 6:30, caught first fish at 6:40 on chartreuse spinner bait with white swim trailer with chartreuse dipped paddle. Caught 2 more on that set up. Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Pre-Spawn)StructureLaydownsThe water varies in color depending on where you're at on the lake, but either a white or chartreuse spinnerbait seems to produce wherever you're at. Get in the back of the pockets and roll it by any wood you can find. A bladed jig like a vibrashock is also producing really well and several bites can be had around the same cover either flipping or dragging a senko.
