Largemouth BassTechniqueBladed JigsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationWe found bass on the thickest clumps of green vegetation, mostly coontail and cabbage, around schools of bluegill. There were plenty of healthy pike mixed in as well. It was nice to finally have some fall weather this season.

Largemouth BassTechniqueSoft Body Swimbaits (Small/Medium)SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationSlowly swimming over weed beds, letting it fall into pockets, caught quite a few. Was told black spinner bait was pure magic though.

Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationSlowroll squarebill crank retrieve. Try to keep it just barely brushing the tops of weeds, pause after hitting weeds, pause is usually where the magic happens. Caught quite a few this way. Was also told that black spinnerbaits were killing it, but can’t verify.

Largemouth BassTechniqueMedium Diving Crankbaits (7'-12')SeasonFallStructureRock PileThe fish were definitely starting their summer to fall transition. Found fish in 7FOW and all the way out to 20FOW. Moving baits helped find fish and then slow moving jigs helped dissect the area producing quality fish.

Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Pitch/Flip)SeasonSummerStructureSubmerged VegetationThis lake can be a big hit or miss. If you are local tournament angler everyone knows about Lingberg Point which extended almost across the entire main lake. The big largemouth move in big packs up and down this point, hiding in the thick milfoil clumps. If you find the clumps with rock mixed in, you most likely will find the bigger fish. If you don't want to fish in the crowd - deep ledges, and weed-lines around the main lake can hold some good volume and size. Dropshot, Ned Rig, Jig, Football Jig, and Texas Rigs are main culprits on this lake. If the bite is slow in those regards, go to the pads and bullrushes and flip deep and pull them out slowly. If you go around the left point and go back to the Southern part of the lake, it shallows up quite substantially and frogging can be incredible if you hit it at the right time. It is a fun lake as long as it has not been beat up with tons of tournaments earlier that week or days before your outing. Try to fish it on overcast days and use natural colored baits

Largemouth BassTechniqueBuzzbaitsSeasonFallStructureSubmerged VegetationFall buzzbait around Lindberg Point and in the back of Little Green Lake was productive. Landed 5 fish and had about 5 others strike at bait and miss. Also landed a very thick 33" Pike with it as well.

Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonFallStructureDocksThe hungry fish for me from this past weekend (9/12) seemed to be the shallow fish. Docks had surprisingly better fish than expected and the pads while the numbers might not have been outstanding the quality made up for it. Wacky Rig and Jigs under the docks and your frog of choice in the pads should do the trick.
