Fish were holding on outside edges of grass beds, and most were hitting at edges or about 4-5 ft from edge of grass line.

Flipping main river grass produced good numbers and great quality. Productive areas had deep water close by. Staying persistent with the flipping stick was necessary as you would face long periods of time without a bite. When you found one of those sweet spots in the grass, you could catch several very quickly. Other productive baits were swim jigs and chatterbaits fished around the edges of the grass.

Easily the toughest day of fishing I’ve had in a long time. There was no wind, no current, blue bird skies, and 105. The fishing was tough! Managed to catch a few drop shotting and a Texas Rig worm coming through brush.
