Bluebird skies and 80°/ water temps were 75° -78°/ 5-8 mph winds out of the south. Priest is in the late summer/ early fall transition. Bass are just starting to school on shad. Today I struggle to catch 8 lm bass and 1 spotted bass - all on a shaky head. It was a tough day for all our anglers because it only took 10 lbs to win our seven hour tournament. The bass are scattered in the water column following bait.

The past week I have caught several in early morning before work walking the bank as usual I have caught a few on the chatterbait and 3 or 4 on a 7 inch cut tail - strike king - watermelon red and 3 on the river to sea plopper. The most of them are up shallow feeding on minnows and bait fish. The water temp has averaged 74 to 76 degrees.

Found lots of shad in the cove behind Hong Kong Island but no hook-ups. The cove by the Hong Kong pump house was loaded with shad as well. Caught 2 LM and 1 SM bass by pulling a DT -6 under schools of shad. The cove in Stewart creek where the ski course is was loaded with shad and bass. Caught 20+ LM bass and 50+ white bass( mostly on a silver spoon). Just could not find the big ones today!
