Early morning. They were chasing bluegills. Couldn’t get them to bite anything resembling a shad, which was surprising. Only caught the one and lost the bait right after that. Ended up not retying and checking my rig. Slung the bait off into the woods somewhere.

Just fishing before work in the back of a cove early morning 4:30-6:00 in some grass and grass lines. The worms are still working. I caught one on a curly tail plum color and the second one hit a 7 inch cut tail watermelon red my go to worm from strike king. I have also caught a few off the jackhammer 3/8 oz around the boat ramps some mornings and the coves near them.
