Used an aggressive cadence in my retrieve with a jerkbait over rock piles. Used BaitPop to enhance the bait for scent and sonar intensity!

Ended up finally being able to catch my first Lake Erie smallmouth of 2024 doing exactly how I caught my last smallmouth of 2023! Dragging a football jig when the water temperatures are low is a sneaky tactic! I am a big fan of creating that contrast with the PBJ skirt matched up with a coppertreuse trailer! I highly recommend it!!
