Largemouth BassTechniqueTexas Rigs (Worming)SeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureMatted GrassWe an another good day Saturday at lake Eufaula Alabama. We were able to produce a lot of good bites and caught a lot of fish using the Z-Man goat to punch through matted grass produced some good bites as well as using the Spro poppin frog around Lilly pads and grass. However, the 7.5” culprit original worm produced the best bites around lay downs. We were on the North end of the lake near Florence marina in grass creek for the most part. All of the better bites came in 1-8 feet of water. There are some fish moving to the ledges but the most bites are still coming from shallow water for me anyways lol

Largemouth BassTechniqueLipless CrankbaitsSeasonSummerStructureShadMayflies hatched! We found fish chasing shad on shell beds and flats, but we probably should've gone shallow to chase bass eating the bluegill that moved up to eat the mayflies. Still found fish deep, but probably missed out on a good bite up there!

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard JerkbaitsSeasonSpring (Post-Spawn)StructureStanding TimberAfter practicing on Eufala for close to a week I landed on an interesting pattern that i LOVE doing... Livescoping fish with a Jerkbait. Super simple technique, was staying in the 17-19 ft range scoping the tops of these trees and you would see anywhere from 1-3 fish on a tree and they were good ones. Get that jerker in front of em and they were gonna eat it. Worked out well, yielded several fish in the 5-6 lb range.
