The fish are moving up on beds but I think the best is still to come. Look for fish on nests around lay downs or other cover.

Smallmouth are up shallow and on the move… this means you should be too because they usually won’t stay in the same place. We found that covering water was best for getting on smallmouth. Big rocks and points were best for targeting smallies. Livescope is a great tool to use for getting on these fish. They seem to be in 5-15 feet.
