Early on, I skipped a hollow-belly Berkley Swamp Lord Frog behind docks. Despite a slow start, a few blow-ups helped fill the boat. Transitioning offshore, I found my biggest fish—a 4.5-pounder—schooling on bait and caught it on a Megabass Magdraft the frog to round out a limit, though no other big bites came. In the afternoon, boat traffic picked up. I tried offshore points again, landing one on a minnow but facing finicky fish. Late in the day, I caught a few more around takeoff, but they didn’t upgrade the bag. I ended up with just over 12 pounds, finishing 30th. One more solid frog bite would’ve made the difference! Had a great evening fishing the LOZ Wednesday Night tournament. 4 fishing limit we had 16.52 with a 6.49 kicker good enough for 4th place and big bass. Everything was caught on 1/4oz CrockoGator Shakey head paired with a Strike King Bull Worm in Green Pumpkin tail dipped in Spike it Chartreuse. Lake is dirty and they were generating 35,000. Had 7 keepers over 15” mostly in main lake points extremely shallow 2-6ft current based points.

Skipping a wacky rig around seemed to be the bait to catch plenty of numbers with the occasional keeper. Key was running through numbers of fish to get the right bites. Skip to every light spot which was usually a bed and keep the trolling motor on high hitting as many as you could in a day.
