- Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueWacky RigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureDocksFound lots of bucks on the banks and a few females. I was skipping the wacky senko behind the docks early in the day. You could catch numbers but not much for size. I believe the females are still staging down the lake.

Largemouth BassTechniqueShallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6')SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBrush PilesFish were up shallow early but only males. Water Temps were anywhere from 62-67 so the spawn is upon us. Fished slowly on the bottom, the square bill was deadly! Most of the strikes were soft and the line just felt different. Some striper and crappie hit a lot harder.

Largemouth BassTechniqueHard Body SwimbaitsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureRip RapMainly fished in the Linn Creek area of the lake. Caught several on the dogma topwater walking bait but those were mainly small keepers. Caught several on a finesse jig behind docks (may have been on beds that I couldn’t see). My better fish for the day came on the glide bait in less than 5ft of water.
- Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueStructure JigsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructurePointsCarolina rig main lake points and secondary points with decent size rock on them. Ones with the boat ramps seemed to work better on this day. Flip baits to back corners of docks.
- Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueSpinnerbaitsSeasonSpring (Spawn)StructureBouldersThe bigger fish have moved back to the pea gravel mix banks setting up for the spawn.
Species
Largemouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Walking)SeasonSpring (Spawn)StructurePointsFished mainly in the Big Niangua section of the lake. Caught fish on a glide bait, jig, and topwater. Better fish came on the jig and glide bait. The wind was blowing 20+ mph all day with much higher gust. A cold front was pushing through the area. Better fish were on main lake points and banks.
