Fished slowly along the matted grass in shallow water to trigger the spawner/pre-spawners. Downsize your bait to 3" or even smaller if possible. They were chasing the smaller baits, but anything over 3.75" didn't get any attention. Another outing with the Shimano Mastiff line. I'm really enjoying the castability and versatility of this line. The 16lb line performed well on light gear, though I would recommend going with the 8lb instead!
