Loving the river height right now. An area I’ve bank fished before is submerged and knowing it’s a big stretch of rocks that’s where I found the smallies. Slowly dragging the ned rig on the bottom with slight pauses and jerks.

We fished the river south of St Cloud. While the river was high and the current was fast, we were able to find enough still water and plenty of smallies. Topwater worked for some guys, and a couple of us did very well using wacky and jigs. Green colors always seem to work best. The water was stained but not too cloudy.

Snapping a tube, feel for good rock and milk that area. Tube was getting bigger bites then a ned but ned was getting numbers.

Guided a trip down the river from our entery at Island View Park to Clearwaters Outfitters as our exit point. Flow in the river is still pretty fast, and water levels are up. This creates a ton of shore and bank laydown piles of brush and trees. This is where the fish were hanging out. Under, in and around these lay downs. Casting near and right up to the bank, the choppo was hot 🔥 several big fish caught, including the clients new pb of 20".

I tried other small JDM finesse swimbaits but the GobyZ was what they wanted. Caught many fish stacked up together in the deepest water I could find not in direct current but next to it.
