In the summer months at Newton I like to look for vegetation that is near deep water. So I look for grass or cat tails along a bank that is close to a drop off. I find that fish often hold in the vegetation and like to be able to get to deep water. My goto rig is a texas rigged worm 7' in either a culprit fire and ice or berkley tequilla sunrise. I like a 1/4 oz tungsten bullet weight.
