I started out throwing a Bitters Vibes in Blueberry paired with a 1/4 0z. Flat Out Tungsten Original and a 5/0 Owner Offset Hook on 20# K9 Fishing Products Pro Series Flourocarbon and a Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy power Fast action Casting Rod paired with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 Gear Ratio Reel. I didn't have any success early on so I decided to make the switch to a Bill Lewis Lures 1/2 oz. Rat-L-Trap in Silverado. I was throwing this on a Denali Kovert 7' 2" Medium Heavy power Moderate Fast action Casting Rod paired with a Quantum Energy 7.3:1 gear ratio Casting Reel with 17# K9 Fishing Products Pro Series Flourocarbon. I caught several bass, as well as two quality black crappie, one that measured 14.5" and the other just over 13.5". As the sun broke through the clouds I began punching the Hydrilla matts, but didn't have any success.
