Outing was for May 3rd. Overall a bluebird day with almost no wind, with high in the 70s. Water temps were from 55 to 63. Key was finding the warm water. Fish were moving up into the cattails and reeds slowly as the water warmed up. Caught fish on jigs, soft plastics, and frogs. Frogs were hot in the mid afternoon with the warming water. Overall, we caught about 20 fish, with the big being 19 inches and super chubby. Most bass were in the 12 to 14 inch range, the bigguns must be just about ready to come up.
