Fished the St. Johns River the other day in some canals off of a small creek. Spent most of the afternoon throwing a Pro Bronzeye Poppin' Frog 60 on a Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy Fast Rod with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 gear ratio reel with K9 60 pd. "9" Strand Dyneema Super Braid. I also used a Untamed Tackle 3/8 oz. Punisher Swim Jig paired with a NetBait Paca Chunk on a Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy Fast Rod and a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 gear ratio reel with K9 60 pd. "8" strand Dyneema Super Braid. Was able to cover a lot of water with these two setups. Caught the majority of my fish under or around docks where there was vegetation located near dock pillings, whether it was dollar pads or lillipads. When the tide was slack, I would skip a wacky rigged 5" black and blue Yamamoto Senko paired with a VMC #1 Weedless Neko Hook on a Denali Lithium Medium Heavy Fast action Spinning Rod with a Quantum Smoke S3 Spinning Reel with K9 25 pd. "9" Strand Dyneema Super Braid with a fluorocarbon leader of Sunline 10 pd. FC Sniper. Caught several bass on these three setups.
