SpeciesSmallmouth BassTechniqueHard Topwater (Wake)SeasonFallStructureRock PileA lot of fish were caught this past weekend. One guy caught over 20 in an 8 hr period unfortunatly my drive went up and I only got to fish for a short time. The first key was gold/black in the lightly stained water, white in the clear and black/blue in the muddy/heavily stained. The second was current seams, if you found a current seam and threw a spinner or top water you were going to get bit. The one pictured came on a 6th sense speed wake and if you have never thrown this bait you are missing out, I switched from the plopper, since everyone is throwing that, just to give a them a new presentation and its been paying off. That girl came flying out of the water and came down hard.
