Amazing day of fishing and catching smallmouth ranging in size from 3 to 5 pounds! Water was high and muddy, so fish were hanging tight to the bank. But, they proved to be willing biters for most of the day.

The bite was slow. Fish were holding in 5-6 foot of water outside of current breaks. Some were also caught on a DT 4 and ned rig. It was a very enjoyable day. The weather was great and spring is upon us. The fishing should only get better.

Find current against the bank. Less than 5 ft.

Out side of current seams with boulders. Slow moving ned rigs or drop shot was key to getting the fish to commit. The water level was 5.5 on the river gauge. The water was also slightly stained. I added scent to my plastic.
