Most all of our fish came off a weightless wacky black/blue tale senko. Most of the fish came out of Lilly pads and shallow grass. We fished around waterfront to goosepond area mainly. 10lbs line out fished 15 pound line 4 to 1 so light line was the key.

The wacky rig is a huge deal this time if the year. Bass are flooding the bank and looking to spawn. Throwing this bait around you can easily pick up 20+ bass in 3 hours or so. The finesse style of this bait really makes these fish very vulnerable. You will need a 7’ medium heavy spinning rod with 10lb braid and 8lb Fluoro leader.

Some bass were creating beds. Some in flats with vegetation. Caught a lot of 16-17" bass. A couple in the 19 range.
