Up and down water temp and pressure had fish scattered today so went finesse with shaky head tied to 8# mastiff fluorocarbon and worked clumps of cypress trees that were in 3-5’ water. A slow hop followed by a long pause was the best way to get them to bite today.

Fish are in mixed stages throughout the lake, the area I fished today, most of the fish were done spawning. Caught them on a trap early in the grass, and then rotated around power fishing looking for big bites. Smaller fish can be caught in numbers with smaller worms and plastics, but they are just fun and can’t win tourney.

The Fish have been spawning really well for the last couple weeks on Lake Marion and the bite has been on fire! The fish are in all three stages of the spawn and fishing cypress trees with a wacky worm has been the deal!
