Slow rolling across rip rap banks that lead to chunk rock. 45 degree banks seemed to be key. Feel the bait hit off the bottom and deflections caused reaction bites. Worked with smallmouth, largemouth, and spots.

For the All American Kayak tourney - found fish in cleaner water in the middle of the cove. Three of the fish were found flipping a Maxscent Chigger craw around isolated and unique cover. Trokar Pro-V flipping hook is the deal and made sure I didn't lose any fish. Caught another fish on a Jackhammer around an isolated tree with green growth underneath. Finally, caught the biggun in a small cove next to a mudline near flooded green bushes.

Tough conditions as the water levels rise rapidly Monday-Thursday. Fish were settling in, but the debris made it tough to key in on spots during the tournament. Lots of matted floating wood. Fluke produced the best bites for me. Due to conditions I was able to get away with a heavier leader line running 15 to 15. Caught a few off spinnerbaits as well.

6 - 10 fish all caught up shallow. Pre-cold front conditions and fairly clean water. Biggest was a 3.5lb on the shakey head. Fishing the worm slow followed with crankbait of some kind. Everything was catching fish!

1/4oz Shakey head with a 8” strike king bull shad worm cut down to about 4” was the perfect combination. I found some dirtier water and the new Shamino Mastiff FC 20lb did an excellent job. This line was introduced to me about a month ago. Super abrasive, great cast ability and super sensitive. Highly recommend to try this line.

Lot of options to catch fish this time of year. Caught fish as deep as 150 feet on jig and minnow and as shallow as 3 feet on a crank. The most fun bite for me was running secondary windy points. Start with the crankbait to cover water and slow down with the ned and swimbait to really milk the school
