VMC Dominator Tube Jig

$4.49

Reported by
SnowtaBass

Lake Saint Croix (MN, WI)

SnowtaBass reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Tubes technique and VMC Dominator Tube Jig on Lake Saint Croix. Additional comments from this report: "Early June with water temps in the low 70s. Found smallmouth in the shallows in the 3-7ft water depth approximately. Pretty much the whole shoreline of the St. Croix can produce a decent smallmouth bite. The shorelines that have the larger rock seem to hold the larger bodied fish. Pitch/cast the tube jig up to the shoreline and work it back to the boat. The fish were hitting from the shoreline to the boat as they were pretty scattered."

Reported by
AJ Madison

Mille Lacs Lake (MN)

AJ Madison reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and VMC Dominator Tube Jig on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Caught some fish on beds in 2-6 feet on a heavy white tube, but also caught a bunch on black and purple Bear Pig Outfitters hair jigs in the same areas so I believe the smallies are just starting to spawn as we seen many couples playing footsie together during our day."

Reported by
Ways Raasch

Mille Lacs Lake (MN)

Ways Raasch reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and VMC Dominator Tube Jig on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Smallies love a tube, was on the tail end of the mayfly hatch and had a pretty good alge bloom on the water witch made it hard to see cruisers. Was getting bit on the fall and just duplicated it all around the shallower water areas."

Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head

$3.49

Reported by
Omnia Community Member

Lake Dubay (WI)

Omnia Community Member reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head on Lake Dubay. Additional comments from this report: "Fishing around rock and some woody debris, throwing the fluke around the stumps and wood and the stupid tube for cleaner-ish bottom while trying to avoid snags "

Reported by
Pierce Knarr

Green Lake (WI) (WI)

Pierce Knarr reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head on Green Lake (WI). Additional comments from this report: "Smallmouth are loaded up right now on transition areas from spawning to summer deep water. A tube was very effective slowly dragged on the bottom to entice them to bite. 6-10 feet seemed to be the best depth to catch them!"

Reported by
Will Burch

White River Pond (IN)

Will Burch reported catching Catfish using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head on White River Pond. Additional comments from this report: "Any predator will eat a tube. Especially if you drop it on there nose. Throw a tube around key ambush points and any predator fish around will definitely take the bait. "

Reported by
Jacob Bros

Mille Lacs Lake (MN)

Jacob Bros reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Big Dude" Tube Jig on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Found fish early in the morning on transition areas in 10-12 feet of water. Water temps in the low 70’s. "

Reported by
Nate Nipper

Mille Lacs Lake (MN)

Nate Nipper reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Big Dude" Tube Jig on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Couple key areas producing a lot of fish. 15-20 feet around the bigger boulders. Water temps still around 68 degrees, which is not normal for this time of year. That said, the fish know winter is coming and the fish are starting to move towards their fall spots. Not in the massive numbers like you will normally see this time of year, but the right ones are where they should be. Cracking the tube was key on this day. As it gets colder, slower should be the ticket in these same areas."

Reported by
Christopher Thuss

Lake Michigan (IL, IN, MI, WI)

Christopher Thuss reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Big Dude" Tube Jig on Lake Michigan. Additional comments from this report: "Soon after Ice out, Lake Michigan smallies follow the warmest water they can find in search of spawning conditions. Typically this warmest water is in the tributaries to the lake. Fishing rocks and steel walls that attract the heat of the sun attract the smallies, as crayfish unbury themselves from the mud and become an easy meal. Tube jigs are an excellent bait in this situation, as well as some Ned rig baits. Fishing slow in the cold water is critical for getting bites. But don’t fear the cold water, there are numbers of big fish to be had!"
