The Chub King
Oneida Lake (NY)
The Chub King reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Ned Rigs technique and Outkast Tackle Perfect Ned Head on Oneida Lake . Additional comments from this report: "Couldnt buy a bite in the early morning, but once the sun started warming up the shallow rock and the surface temp climbed a degree or two the fish would move up into about 6ft of water all on rock. They werent super juiced as the jerkbait and screwhead would get an occasional fish, it still paid off best to be on the bottom crawling a ned rig around. A few fish had some fat bellys on them but I feel like we are still waiting for the switch to flip and them to start feeding aggressively mid column and maybe even try that first topwater bite. It is days away"

Elias Ward reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Ned Rigs technique and Z-Man Finesse ShroomZ Jighead on Youghiogheny River Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Caught this smallmouth by letting the ned rig drift in a current slack behind a boulder after missing a strike on the Squarebill crankbait. This was in the river below the lake. You can choose different colors based on the water clarity that day, but I recommend any of the natural craw or minnow imitation colors for clear water applications like this."
