Rappahannock River (VA)
Steve Wise reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Buzzbaits technique and Zoom Horny Toad on Rappahannock River. Additional comments from this report: "Early morning topwater bite on the Rappahanock was slow. Had an outgoing tide and the bite should have been there, but the water was stained chocolate milk. Couldn’t hit anything on the spook, but the Canterbury buzz toad got a few. I caught the fish shown on the point of a feeder creek into the main stem of the river where there is some submerged timber. "

Reported by
Bmorris07
Clarks Hill Reservoir (GA, SC)
Bmorris07 reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Buzzbaits technique and Z-Man Goat ToadZ on Clarks Hill Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "I saw water temps ranging from 74-78 degrees on 5/30/31 on the Georgia side of the lake up creek channels. I was targeting the remaining bluegill beds that I could find in shallow pockets. Even though the shad spawn has completed, I was able to catch a solid limit on a Greenfish Tackle Toad toter buzzbait nickel paired with a Zman Goat Toadz in white in water from 2 inches deep to 4 feet deep. If I got a bite on the buzzbait in a pocket, I would follow that up with the poppin frog to pick apart the area and get a bigger bite. "

Paul Mroczenski
Spirit Lake (WI)

Reported by
Matt Kehrer
Mille Lacs Lake (MN)
Matt Kehrer reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Buzzbaits technique and Yum Tip Toad on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Fished Vineland bay for largemouth. Mostly cloudy, south wind blowing a bit and a storm rolled in mid morning. I found several good fish at the edges of the reeds all along the bay. Buzzbait with a gold blade was the only one I threw. No skirt, toad trailer. Water clarity was fairly dirty for Mille Lacs. Anywhere the depth was closer to 5ft at the end of the reeds was better than the reeds that end in shallower water. "

Michael Stridde reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Buzzbaits technique and Zoom Horny Toad on Fort Loudoun Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Little late this was from last Saturday morning, went out early for a few hours. Started searching for Bass on ledges, found a good ledge and ended up catching 2, but both came off at the boat, 💯 my fault too...you would think after the first one I would have checked my hook on my scrounger but nope...lesson learned. These three pictured 2 came on a buzzbait, and the other on a shakeyhead. On my buzzbait, was fishing 50lb no faid braid from @viciousfishing, shakeyhead had no faid braid with flurocarbon leader, and when I was ledge fishing was using 100% Fluorocarbon. My buzzbait rod is a 7ft 1in @jenkofishing gambler rod casting rod in medium heavy, shakeyhead is a 7ft 2in Gambler medium action. For my scrounger, was using a Gambler 7ft 5in Medium Moderate action casting rod. Just love these rods and how light they are and they never fail me!!! Best Rods I've ever used!"
