Indian Lake (MN)
Dan reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Strike King Rage Craw on Indian Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Spent a good hour and a half flipping the grass with a Texas rig and it wasn’t very production. Switched to a jig and caught 17” my first cast and a smaller 14” the second. The rest of the time was more of the same. Cruising the weed flats and slowing working through them and watching the pockets and irregularities in the grass. "
For Rod And Reel
Pleasant Lake (MI) (MI)
For Rod And Reel reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Googan Baits Bandito Bug on Pleasant Lake (MI). Additional comments from this report: "Work the jig very very slow- slower than you've ever worked. Give it some little jumps and then some bigger pops too. most of the weeds have died off by this point. It's very windy though, so get some gloves or a coat ;) Jerkbaits are alright- just mainly try to work everything slowly with long pauses. For the jerk bait, pause up to about eight seconds if nothing is biting. The biggest problem with winter fishing this lake is just going too fast. "
Kent Lake (MI)
KeNnY sLaYzZZ reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Googan Baits Bandito Bug on Kent Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Find the old river channel and drop black and blue or green pumpkin jigs down there. Also there are alot of bass schooled up at the big dropoff behind the west side island."
Old Hickory Lake (TN)
Powder reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Googan Baits Bandito Bug on Old Hickory Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Find a point where the current washes past and creates an eddy. Look for 5-10’ of depth and drag a jig/trailer from the shallower water toward the deeper. Keep an eye out for any structure and target that first. Just be thorough - it’s a big lake with a fair amount of pressure year-round. Fish slowly and patiently. "
Mille Lacs Lake (MN)
Stephen Partney reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Z-Man Finesse TRD on Mille Lacs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Locating fish was key. When you found them, you really found them. Ned rig and football jig were the deal. "
Pickwick Lake (AL)
Mike Jones reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Z-Man Finesse TRD on Pickwick Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Most of the bass are not directly on the beds yet. We found them anywhere from 6-10 feet of water back in creeks and outside of grass lines, smallmouth and largemouth alike. "
Jim G Lopez
Pueblo Reservoir (CO)
Jim G Lopez reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Football Jigs technique and Z-Man Finesse TRD on Pueblo Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Many Smallmouth are being caught at Pueblo Rev CO . some are getting up to 40-60 Smallmouth on one spot , so if you have kids now is the time to take them . Water levels are dropping, target rock piles on 45 angle banks , dragging a Outkast jig 1/2 oz ......slow over the rocks , you might pick up a spotted bass as-well . "
