Fishing was over all pretty tough and we located one group of fish on a small rock point that we were able to make hay on early in the morning. Fish were scattered from the grass line to the old river channel. We primarily caught our fish on 3/8 ounce Dirty Jigs Compact pitching pitching jigs, but could snipe a few on flukes and a speed craw on a Carolina rig as well. "

Water temp went up 4 degrees over the week but day of the event it snowed in the morning and the wind blow 25 mph all day so it was tough. Fish were tight to cover in very shallow dirty water in the back of small pockets. Fishing a green pumpkin jig very slow. "

Reported by
LUKEROUTHFISHING

Stockton Lake

LUKEROUTHFISHING reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Finesse Jigs technique and Strike King Rage Menace Grub on Stockton Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The fish at stockton have been crushing a wiggle wart and rock crawler for a month now and should continue for a couple more weekes. When its calm out a motion fishing finesse jig in sardis craw has been the ticket on the main lake brushpiles and rock changes in 7 to 16 ft. The a rig bite is just getting started and should be great in the upcoming weeks focus on mainlake and secondary points with bait in 12 to 25ft. I like to throw 3.8 rage swimmers in pro blue red pearl. "
