Additional comments from this report: "Perfect day after the record-breaking week of heat. Water is down probably 3' on average. Tons of lily pads to pick through here. Early AM fun with the Whopper Plopper (not much interest in frogs today). Dropshot (or any finesse worms really) resulted in tons of bites along the weed lines. Most were in good healthy sizes of 16 - 18" for me today. However, the largest ones were from slow rolling the bladed jig (Jack Hammers) up towards shore into the thickest weeds. All from 3ft or less of water! "

On Sunday, 5/16/21, with water temps ranging from 59 to 64 degrees, some bass were just beginning to appear at their spawning beds. But, more fish could be found feeding in the shallows on reaction baits. Casting along all the shorelines between docks, a good number of bites from keeper size, up to 3lb, non-bed fish came on bladed jigs or chatterbaits in 3-4 ft of water - with the boat in 6-7 ft. A few keepers were caught in these same areas on a swim jig and a flipping jig. A few bigger, close to 4lb, largemouth were caught in the channels between lakes on Tx rigged creature baits like a brush hog. If you head out there soon you may be able to take your pick between bass feeding in the shallows, or spawning on their beds.

Caught this musky on the west side of the lake by tossing it alongside the weed line. "

Additional comments from this report: "Chatterbait, specifically the Z-Man Jack Hammer was key on opener. Water temps were mid to upper 60's with mixed clarity depending on what bay you were in. Fish were on weedlines and wanted to chase. Got a few on lipless and square bills but the Jack hammer outproduced everything. "

Additional comments from this report: "Mid 60 degree water temp with air temps in the high 40s. Absolute wack fest on lotus this morning. Caught a lot of quality largemouth on a mix between a jackhammer, swim jig and skipping jig. Over the emerging milfoil I fished a jackhammer or swim jig when the wind calmed down and skipped docks to pick up bites as well."

Post spawners we’re feeding on bluegills in the grass. "
