St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass Casting Rods

$150 – 170

Reported by
Pierce Knarr

Pool 7 Lake Onalaska (WI)

Pierce Knarr reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass Casting Rods on Pool 7 Lake Onalaska. Additional comments from this report: "Smallmouth are starting to show up consistently on wing dams. Fishing a dt 6 and other shallow diving crank baits are the best way to target these fish. Every day they are positioned a little different on the wing dams so fishing multiple allows you to dial in where they are at on a specific day!"

Reported by
Scott Clark

Lake Belle Taine (MN)

Scott Clark reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass Casting Rods on Lake Belle Taine. Additional comments from this report: "Concentrate on the patches of weeds with a drop-shot. Work the areas between the patches with a squarebill looking for roaming fish. "

Reported by
Bearded Beast

Allatoona Lake (GA)

Bearded Beast reported catching Spotted Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Allatoona Lake. Additional comments from this report: "We have had a good amount of rain so the water color is pretty muddy around mid lake. I have been focusing on longer creek arms. Fish seem to start biting around half way in. Focus on areas with good rocks around the bank as well as lay downs. Seem to have better luck on the sunny banks. I have been staying around the 8’ or less areas. Water temp - 50°-52° Water clarity - less than 10” Wind - 10mph "

Reported by
Chad Lehr

Lake Rooty (VA)

Chad Lehr reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Lake Rooty. Additional comments from this report: "Caught four this morning cranking in about 2.5 hours. After some rain, we've had a couple of warmer sunny days in a row, the water is more stained than usual, so slowed the retrieve down. Each fish bit when the retrieve was paused. "

St. Croix Premier Spinning Rods

$150 – 170

Reported by
Kail’s Fishing Reports

Sand Point Lake (MN)

Kail’s Fishing Reports reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Premier Spinning Rods on Sand Point Lake. Additional comments from this report: "one of my most favorite ways to fish is casting the shorelines in the spring. Look for rocky shorelines with sand and gravel mixed in, also look for a slow brake on the shoreline as it stays shallow coming out from the shoreline further. Put your trolling motor down and follow the shoreline. Tie a small snap to your line and snap your DT-4 to it and throw right up to where the water touches the shoreline and very your retrieve to the boat. I like the DT-4 because they cast like a rocket and very durable on the rocks and they have large sharp hooks. I also like using mono for this as it gives a little shock absorber when the smally hits. Check the last 5' of your line often as there are a lot of rocks, and your line gets nicked up quickly. That's why I use the XT mono, if there is a nick pull off 5' and retie.. Good Luck and see you on the water."

Reported by
Jim Hickey

Sondogardy Pond (NH)

Jim Hickey reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Premier Spinning Rods on Sondogardy Pond. Additional comments from this report: "Day out on the pond where four baits produced fishing around different types of cover: pads, submerged weeds, docks and shoreline brush/laydowns. Spinnerbait, t-rigged senko and popper drew bass from edges of pads, docks and shoreline brush/trees while the squarebill crank drew strikes after ripping bait through submerged grass patches. "
