St. Croix Victory Casting Rods

Reported by
Brett Bowman

Lake Mackintosh (NC)

Brett Bowman reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Lake Mackintosh. Additional comments from this report: "Wind had the bait blown into the backs of pockets, I ended up finding a wad of bass grouped up tight on a small secondary point waiting on the bait to get pushed through. Cranking across the point lead to several back to back fish including a 6.2 and several 2-4 pounders. When they stopped biting a crank I dragged a Texas rigged drop shot across and picked up a couple extra bites. I ran this across several wind blown pockets and caught fish consistently."

Reported by
Chad Lehr

Lake Rooty (VA)

Chad Lehr reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Lake Rooty. Additional comments from this report: "Caught four this morning cranking in about 2.5 hours. After some rain, we've had a couple of warmer sunny days in a row, the water is more stained than usual, so slowed the retrieve down. Each fish bit when the retrieve was paused. "

Bearded Beast

Allatoona Lake (GA)

Bearded Beast reported catching Spotted Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and St. Croix Victory Casting Rods on Allatoona Lake. Additional comments from this report: "We have had a good amount of rain so the water color is pretty muddy around mid lake. I have been focusing on longer creek arms. Fish seem to start biting around half way in. Focus on areas with good rocks around the bank as well as lay downs. Seem to have better luck on the sunny banks. I have been staying around the 8’ or less areas. Water temp - 50°-52° Water clarity - less than 10” Wind - 10mph "
