Best Shallow Crankbait Line

Omnia collects thousands of detailed fishing reports from anglers across the country to power our local recommendations. Here are the top Line recommendations for using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique mentioned in fishing reports from anglers near you.

Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon

$29.99 – $149.99

Reported by
Brett Bowman

Lake Mackintosh (NC)

Brett Bowman reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lake Mackintosh. Additional comments from this report: "Wind had the bait blown into the backs of pockets, I ended up finding a wad of bass grouped up tight on a small secondary point waiting on the bait to get pushed through. Cranking across the point lead to several back to back fish including a 6.2 and several 2-4 pounders. When they stopped biting a crank I dragged a Texas rigged drop shot across and picked up a couple extra bites. I ran this across several wind blown pockets and caught fish consistently."

Reported by
Jacob Newton

Lake Huron

Jacob Newton reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lake Huron. Additional comments from this report: "Water temp 62* fish were biting squarebills pretty good in right areas. No jerk bait or swimbait bite. "

Reported by
Nate Boenning

Chickamauga Lake (TN)

Nate Boenning reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Chickamauga Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Made a quick stop at Chick on the way home from the college national championships in Florida. Largemouth and spots were holding on channel swing traditions leading back into the major creek arms. A red flat side was outperforming any other style of crankbait. Personally I chose the 6th sense crush 75 due to its square bill and ability to deflect off the laydowns and rock along the channel swings. "

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$26.49 – $159.99

Reported by
Ben Hutchins

B Everett Jordan Lake (NC)

Ben Hutchins reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on B Everett Jordan Lake. Additional comments from this report: "I caught fish throwing flat-sided crankbaits on riprap. The bite was tough in the morning but once the sun got up they started biting."

Reported by

Still stained, but the natural Shad and Sexy Shad colors of the Chick Magnet show pretty well and caught most fish off of gradual points and near docks. "
