"

Ohio Angler

Delaware Lake (OH)

Ohio Angler reported catching Crappie using the Vertical Jigging Shallow (0-9') technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Delaware Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The fishing was pretty slow. Tons and tons of bait balls and getting the crappie to eat something artificial was tough. We found some at the middle lake boat ramp under the fishing pier docks. There is artificial structure around there and the crappies were holding tight. Used the Garmin Live scope to help with seeing the reaction to different baits"

Reported by
Will Burch

Dogwood Lake (IN)

Will Burch reported catching Panfish / Bluegill using the Vertical Jigging Shallow (0-9') technique and PowerPro Super Slick V2 on Dogwood Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Omnia report Is the early summer the red ear move up to spawn. A small jig head with a juicy plastic is one of my favorite ways to target these fish. With a fast rod like the one I have linked above are great. The fast tip allows you to pop your rod and break your jig free of the weeds. I choose to use the under spin in this application because with the light jig head the blade adds a little extra resistance. This helps you keep your jig head submerged. "

Reported by
Saltman

Lake Okeechobee (FL)

Saltman reported catching Crappie using the Vertical Jigging Shallow (0-9') technique and PowerPro Super Slick V2 on Lake Okeechobee. Additional comments from this report: "A windy day of Crappie fishing on the north end of Lake Okeechobee. I would power-pole down then flip and pitch the warhead jig with the Gypsy blue afterburner on it in and around scattered cattails. It was a combination of vertical jigging and pitching in and around the cattails that provided the structure to hold the crappie in large numbers. I ended up catching 65 fish in a 4 hour period. I kept 25 for dinner and threw back the rest to keep the spawn going strong. "

PowerPro Braid

$18.50 – $22.50

Reported by

Dragging a jig and a shiner or pitching a jig and a shiner produced many walleyes. Can't wait for the rest of the year!"

We vertical jigged Jenko’s Kevin Roger warhead jig with the afterburner disco and the white knight in the Eagle Bay Area around scattered Cattail in five to seven of water. Temp early was 63 it heated up to 82 by mid day. The water temp stayed around 73 degrees. We caught around 80 fish in a six hour period. We kept 40 for a fish fry as it was his son’s birthday. "
