Sufix 832 Braid

$9.99 – 109.99

Reported by
Tom

Chisago Lake (MN)

Tom reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix 832 Braid on Chisago Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Get to this access early. Lots of bass fisherman at this lake in the morning then changes over to recreational boaters later in the day. Work your way around the East side of Chicago Lake. there you'll find submerged trees that shoot out of the water. Toss your frog (or also now a spider) around those trees for nice largemouth. As you move further South along that edge, there will be a bay full of lily pads. Have a blast tossing frogs, wacky rigs, ned rigs and dragging Texas rigs on and through those lilys. If bass are deep, tie on a drop shot set up just north of the islands above deep grass mats in 13 ft of water."

Sam Skonseng

Namekagon Lake (WI)

Sam Skonseng reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix 832 Braid on Namekagon Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Topwater smallmouth and largemouth on points when it’s overcast. "

Reported by
Matt Kennedy

Kabetogama Lake (MN)

Matt Kennedy reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix 832 Braid on Kabetogama Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Many of the smallmouth are spawn and post-spawn and are on rocks around spawning bays. Throwing a walking bait worked well for covering areas and getting good bites. "

PowerPro Braid

$18.5 – 22.5

Reported by
LipRipper_MN

Lake Pepin (MN, WI)

LipRipper_MN reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and PowerPro Braid on Lake Pepin. Additional comments from this report: "Got on a nice pattern locating fish with this topwater then slowing down and picking them apart but the big walking bait helped me find the active fish! Don’t be afraid to fish fast and cover water with a walking bait then slow down once you find the fish! "

Reported by
River Rat Fishing

Cedar Lake (IN)

River Rat Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and PowerPro Braid on Cedar Lake . Additional comments from this report: "Walk the Driftwalker over top of the submerged grass with a twitch twitch twitch and a two second pause. The bass were crushing it on the pause."

Reported by
SGTROCK44

Pickwick Lake (AL)

SGTROCK44 reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and PowerPro Braid on Pickwick Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Finished the MLF Choo-Choo Division as the AOY for co-anglers. The bite was super tough on Pickwick but was able to get a key bite close to the dam in slack water on a Sexy Dog. Thank you to the whole MLF BFL staff for putting on 5 great events in the Choo-Choo division this year."

Sufix Elite

$7.99 – 8.99

Reported by
River Rat Fishing

Bass Lake (IN)

River Rat Fishing reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix Elite on Bass Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Water temp 70 air temp 78 water clarity 1ft. Sunny skies and no wind. As soon as I launched the kayak I could see bass busting on bait fish in the grass. I walked the j walker over the grass. The bite sas good for about an hour after sunrise. Then the chatterbait bite was on until about 11 am. After that the bite shut down"

GTFISHING

Lake Norman (NC)

GTFISHING reported catching Spotted Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix Elite on Lake Norman. Additional comments from this report: "Topwater is on fire on Lake Norman right now, the only bait needed to catch 30 plus spotted bass throughout the day is a Teckel Kicknocker!! The only baits in my boat right now is a black shore, bone, & chrome Kicknocker, from safe lift to sunset wind blown points are holding schools of spotted bass ready to crush a topwater plug being twitch above them. My last 4 sessions have all started & ended with the Teckel in my hands! Everything from dinks to 4 pounders are feeding heavily throughout the day. If you find the right point it will be your only spot you'll need to find on your next outing. Changed out those factory hooks to some Owner trebles because the Lake Norman spots are looking to destroy any & everything that comes into their personal space. Tight lines!! Twitch Twitch Boom💥"

Reported by
Jay Roberts

Birch Lake

Jay Roberts reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Topwater (Walking) technique and Sufix Elite on Birch Lake. Additional comments from this report: "This time of year the smallmouth are targetting schools of minnows out in the middle of the lake in 40 to 60 feet of water. This is reactive fishing. Your trolling motor is on high and when you see fish busting the schools on the surface you move quickly in that direction. Make long casts with walking style baits and wait for the attack. Sometimes 2 or 3 fish can be pulled off of one school of the small blueish white minnows."
