Best Lipless Crankbait Line

Omnia collects thousands of detailed fishing reports from anglers across the country to power our local recommendations. Here are the top Line recommendations for using the Lipless Crankbaits technique mentioned in fishing reports from anglers near you.

Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon

$29.99 – $149.99

Reported by
WhiskyFisherman

High Rock Lake (NC)

WhiskyFisherman reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on High Rock Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Very few boats on High Rock yesterday and everyone seemed to have modest luck after a weekend cold front. Water remains 54-56 degrees and fairly stained. The baitfish I found remain in at least 10-12 feet of water. My one bite was on a shallow rock pile in a major creek on a Jackall TN70 Lipless Crankbait in Crawfish. Luckily, it was a 6 lb 10 oz High Rock PB."

Reported by
Lane Lassiter

Chickamauga Lake (TN)

Lane Lassiter reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Chickamauga Lake. Additional comments from this report: "At Chickamauga lake in March you can throw a booyah hard knocker trap and catch Biggs. The fish in the picture was 7.75lb "

Reported by
Will Burch

Patoka Lake (IN)

Will Burch reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Patoka Lake. Additional comments from this report: "One of my favorite baits in the pre-spawn is a lipless crank bait. I like to fish the bait around wood cover which can be trick at times. I pair this bait with a stouter rod and heavier line for this application. The longer stiffer rod allows me to steer my bait clear of wood. With a stouter rod paired with heavier line you can horse those big bass right out of cover and into your kayak. "

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$26.49 – $159.99

Reported by
Jason Glerum

Big Pine Island Lake (MI)

Jason Glerum reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Big Pine Island Lake. Additional comments from this report: "The Ark Elite-Z lipless are the best, bar none. Running this along a drop off from 4-6 feet to 12-14 feet for the win. "

Reported by
Asher Murphree

Guntersville Lake (AL)

Asher Murphree reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Guntersville Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Fished a high school tournament with about 250 boats at goose pond today. Had 12.12 pounds and a 3.75 big fish fishing over a grass flat with a lipless and chatterbait and caught some on a drop shot on a rocky bank. There were upwards of ten 20+ pound bags with the winners having over 26 pounds. Guntersville is really fishing well right now."

Reported by
Lucas Bowers

Lake Dora (FL)

During practice, we found a few fish staging on eelgrass edges that were willing to bite a lipless crankbait. We were slow rolling and yo-yoing lipless crankbaits around these grass edges and shellbars.

PowerPro Spectra Braid

$18.50 – $22.50

Reported by
Joe Drowns

Guntersville Lake (AL)

Joe Drowns reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and PowerPro Spectra Braid on Guntersville Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Winter has made its way to Lake Guntersville. Heavy wind and rain have stained and muddied up the water over the past week. Still chasing the grass lines for my bites.. Finding clearer water and healthy grass was the key. Bait contact with the grass is still producing the best reactions. Ripping the Duckett trap out of the grass with the new Wheeler Select series rods. I'm really enjoying the action on the 7'4 MH rod. Sensitive enough to feel the grass with enough back bone to really rip the bait when needed. The moderate action in this rods really helps keep the fish pinned and allows me to just reel into them without worry of ripping the bait out of their mouths."

Reported by
Captain Paul Tyre

Lake Seminole (FL/GA) (FL, GA)

Captain Paul Tyre reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and PowerPro Spectra Braid on Lake Seminole (FL/GA). Additional comments from this report: "The BIG Bass are staging up! The lipless bite is on and the unique sound of the 6th sense Quake is AWSOME!"

Reported by
Josh Duffel

Sam Rayburn Reservoir (TX)

Josh Duffel reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Lipless Crankbaits technique and PowerPro Spectra Braid on Sam Rayburn Reservoir. Additional comments from this report: "Post- Frontal Conditions and Blue Bird Skies as the day progressed. I was fishing the grass line and the bass would just load up on the rod as I popped it out of the grass. "
