Best Mid Depth Trolling Line

Omnia collects thousands of detailed fishing reports from anglers across the country to power our local recommendations. Here are the top Line recommendations for using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique mentioned in fishing reports from anglers near you.

Sufix 832 Braid

$16.99 – $149.99

Reported by
Cody Nielsen

Lake Minnewaska (MN)

Cody Nielsen reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Sufix 832 Braid on Lake Minnewaska. Additional comments from this report: "Braved the big winds and found the fish on windblown shore lines with sparse weeds in about 14-16 feet of water. Easiest way to find them was to troll a tungsten bullet weight and slow death rig while watching side scan and livescope. You then could spot lock on the fish and cast to them. A 3/16 ned rig and a big zman trd seemed to work well. Most would hit the bait before it hit the bottom. The fall bite isn't quiet here yet but with cooling temps in the forecast, hopefully we can get that fall bite that everyone loves! "

Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon

$29.99 – $149.99

Reported by
Kevin Langlands

Lake St Clair (MI)

Kevin Langlands reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lake St Clair. Additional comments from this report: "Mitchells Bay is loaded with walleye, perch, and bass. Water temp there is cooler than the rest of the lake so they're still prespawn."

Reported by
Fishndad

Cass Lake (MN)

Fishndad reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Cass Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Pulling crank baits over ledges 8-12 feet proved to be the best way to catch walleye and Jumbo perch. Dusk or Dawn they were most active. Water Temps were down in the high 60's. "

Reported by
Daniel Sidle

Lower Whitefish Lake (MN)

Daniel Sidle reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lower Whitefish Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Working the deep edges off the reefs and sand bars during low light periods yielded the best results. Start deep and work shallower onto the reefs as night falls. Good mixture of eating size and larger fish."

Sufix Performance Leadcore

$16.99

Reported by
Ray Valley

Lake Saint Croix (MN, WI)

Ray Valley reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Sufix Performance Leadcore on Lake Saint Croix. Additional comments from this report: "It's that short time of the year when walleye stage on shoreline ledges feeding on baitfish. Trolling leadcore line line with Berkley Flicker Shad crankbaits has been effective recently. Spool out enough line (approx 130 ft) to make the bait bounce off a 20 ft bottom. Weave out to deeper depths to suspend the bait and then weave back in to make it hit bottom again. Often at those transitions is when a hungry walleye will hit the bait! Water temps 65-69"

Reported by
Jason

Little Vermillion Lake (MN)

Jason reported catching Walleye using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Sufix Performance Leadcore on Little Vermillion Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Leadlining produced solidly throughout the day. Finding the right depth and color were key to overall production."

Reported by
Ray Borbon

Lake Washington (WA)

Ray Borbon reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Trolling Mid Depth (10-19') technique and Sufix Performance Leadcore on Lake Washington . Additional comments from this report: "I caught 7 smallmouth bass this morning on one lure. The Berkley money badger. Fish were located on the outside of weed lines and near points. In depth of water 20-35 feet. "
