Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon

$26.99 – $137.99

Reported by
Seth Akenson

O'Dowd Lake (MN)

Seth Akenson reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on O'Dowd Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Water temperatures were between 66-68 degrees and I believe the females are off beds and transitioning to summer patterns. We fished wind blown points using bluegill colored baits to target bass. Multiple species (bass, walleye, pike and crappies) were caught using jerkbaits and lipless crankbaits. Slow retrieve and long pauses were key to getting bites. Bass were also caught using very light weight wacky rigs fished slowly. "

LipRipper_MN

Lake Pepin (MN, WI)

LipRipper_MN reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lake Pepin. Additional comments from this report: "Late season stuff here, very cold water, have to do 5+ second pauses. Fish were located 7-10 feet down with access to deep water nearby. Also don’t worry about getting out early, fish 11am-3pm fish aren’t active or moving up to feed until later in the day as it warms up! "

SnowtaBass

Lake Pepin (MN, WI)

SnowtaBass reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Lake Pepin. Additional comments from this report: "Early April with water temps in the low to mid 40s. Target banks with with rip rap and main lake points. The smallmouth will move up shallow to feed when the temps start rising and one of the best ways to catch them is with a jerk bait. Cast the jerk bait as close to the rip rap as possible and slowly work it back to the boat. The key here is slow because of the cold water temps the fish are a little lethargic at times."

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$21.99 – $138.99

Reported by
OutdoorsWithKai

Lake Minnetonka (MN)

OutdoorsWithKai reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Lake Minnetonka. Additional comments from this report: "As the weather continues to cool down, the fish stays feeding. Most of my fish came off ripping the jerkbait out of patches of weeds in 8-12FOW and just waiting a second or two before twitching it had them react to it. Having a livescope helped me out as well because I can see them coming out of the weed patches chasing my jerkbait as it rips out of the weeds. Nothing too fancy, but having the right rod (mentioned) helped a ton when fishing a jerkbait. "

plymouthfishingnick

Lake Mallalieu (WI)

plymouthfishingnick reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Lake Mallalieu. Additional comments from this report: "water temp was 58-59, bright sunny day so muted colors for the jerk bait. pretty shallow, best to find drop offs near the rock"

Seaguar Red Label 100% Fluorocarbon

$15.79 – $83.99

Reported by
Michael Rekas

Pool 1 Mississippi (MN)

Michael Rekas reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar Red Label 100% Fluorocarbon on Pool 1 Mississippi. Additional comments from this report: "The cold-front that came through at the end of this week did not seem to bother these urban smallies. While the jig bite seemed to slow, fish were crushing the jerkbait. The jerkbait was super versatile and I spent time fishing it in both shallow water and over deeper water. As long as their was nice chunk rock present fish seemed to react well. Overall, working the bait slow was key 1-2 pops followed by a pause lasting 3-10 seconds worked best. The large majority of bites came on the pause. Good luck!"

Luke Loewe

Pool 1 Mississippi (MN)

Luke Loewe reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar Red Label 100% Fluorocarbon on Pool 1 Mississippi. Additional comments from this report: "The smallmouth in Minneapolis have really been feeding on small minnows near shore. They are grouped up in school and when you find one, there ill be more. The vision 110 jr works well because it is a little smaller than the regular 110. The minnows that the smallmouth are eating aren't very big and the smallmouth themselves for the most part aren't very huge either, but there are a lot of them. This one was the biggest one I've caught at around 3 lbs. There is a video of the action on my youtube channel that is connected to the page. Goodluck!"

Reported by
Brett Yahnke

Gibbs Lake (WI)

Brett Yahnke reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Hard Jerkbaits technique and Seaguar Red Label 100% Fluorocarbon on Gibbs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Fishing was tough today. I found some fish around the cribs that someone dropped out there but colder water temps and lack of grass made it tough to locate fish. The fish I caught came out of 13 foot of water tight to the wood. Long pauses on the jerk bait was key today. Hopefully water pops over 50 soon!"
