Omnia collects thousands of detailed fishing reports from anglers across the country to power our local recommendations. Here are the top Line recommendations for using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique mentioned in fishing reports from anglers near you.

Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon

$29.99 – $149.99

Reported by
Phelptwan

Austin Lake (MI)

Phelptwan reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Austin Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Water temp was running 53.5-55.7 while we were out. Was decently windy out of the west (7-10mph). Early catch in open water on a jerkbait. We eventually found a pattern of throwing into the dark spots in 4-5' of water and ripping a bait through it (frittside). Otherwise the ned rig was pretty productive for smallies as well. Probably only caught one keeper out of the 8 bass we caught. Lake definitely seems to be in decline."

Reported by
Will Burch

Patoka Lake (IN)

Will Burch reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on Patoka Lake. Additional comments from this report: "My favorite way to fish this bait is burning it in as fast as I can, but I never get bit while the bait is moving. The trick to a good pause is to stop the bait after making contact with structure. For example bring the bait over a log or off a ledge then pause. The idea of this technique is to not waste time working the bait where the fish aren’t and pausing it when it’s in those blatantly obvious ambush point. "

Reported by
JT "GRAMPS" Hickman

West Boggs Lake (IN)

JT "GRAMPS" Hickman reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Seaguar InvizX 100% Fluorocarbon on West Boggs Lake. Additional comments from this report: "Bluegill crankbait around wood landed me one of my best tournaments of the season on Boggs. Tossing around laydowns caught fish most of the day and I finished in the Top 5 again some of the state's top hammers."

Sunline Super FC Sniper

$26.49 – $159.99

Reported by
Chance Nelson

Big Darby Ponds (OH)

Chance Nelson reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Shallow Diving Crankbaits (0-6') technique and Sunline Super FC Sniper on Big Darby Ponds. Additional comments from this report: "Throw past the lay down and let the bait run down and over the branches. I paused a bit when making contact with wood so it would drift up a bit."
